Volunteer Opportunities

Interested in assisting military members and their families?  Call us.  We are looking for volunteers in all areas including:

AFES Military Briefing Team – Volunteers are needed to present on- site informative briefings and displays for military personnel and family members regarding the important services provided by the American Red Cross.  These sites often include new comers orientations, static displays and Get to Know Us briefings around the Military District of Washington.

Hospital Volunteer Corps – Hospital volunteers provide assistance in most clinics at Malcom Grow Medical Center and the Bolling AFB clinic.  Assistance is also provided by volunteers to injured troops returning from deployments through the Red Cross Medivac program.

Education and Training – There are a number of Disaster and Health and Safety classes available to include CPR, First Aid and Baby Sitter training.  There is always a need for volunteer instructors in these areas.

For more information on how to volunteer, take a class or be “Red Cross Ready” go to our website at www.redcrossnca.org.
